Bipolar junction transistor operating principle 2012-11-27 18:17
Voltage in base circuit opens the transistor and in collector circuit current starts to flow. When voltage increases the current increases up to the value where the collector-emitter circuit opens and the current starts flowing there that is proportional to the current flowing through the base-emitter junction. This connection method is called common emitter configuration when emitter is connected to common ground and output voltage referenced to that ground is at the collector.
